फायदे
5Intrinsic Foot Muscles(activating | stabilizing)
While active in foundational Tadasana to create and maintain the arches, here their role intensifies significantly. With the toes lifted, these muscles must work harder to actively lift and support the medial longitudinal arch, preventing collapse and ensuring the structural integrity of the foot. This heightened engagement refines their ability to create an upward lift from the sole, fostering a more robust and resilient foot structure.
Quadriceps(stabilizing)
In Tadasana, the quadriceps gently lift the kneecaps and stabilize the knee joint. With the toes raised, the center of gravity subtly shifts backward, demanding a more precise and often increased engagement from the quadriceps to prevent the knees from locking back or hyperextending. This action ensures the plumb line of the leg remains vertical, maintaining the integrity of the knee and hip joints amidst the altered foot foundation.
Erector Spinae(strengthening | lengthening)
These long muscles running alongside your spine (erector spinae) are gently activated to lift and lengthen the vertebral column, creating space between each vertebra. This conscious extension counteracts the effects of gravity and habitual slouching, promoting an upright and dignified posture. As the spine lengthens, it facilitates the upward flow of prana (life force energy), allowing for greater clarity of mind and an expansive feeling in the chest. Regular practice with this awareness strengthens your postural muscles, reducing chronic back pain and fostering a sense of inner lightness.

सावधानियाँ
2Balance Disorders
Impaired proprioception increases the risk of falls during standing and balancing poses.
Practise with one hand on a wall or chair back; keep both feet wider than hip-width for a stable base.
विधि
चरण-दर-चरण निर्देश
Begin in Tadasana with feet hip-width apart.
Inhale and slowly lift all ten toes off the floor, keeping the balls of your feet grounded.
Maintain the lift in the toes while continuing to engage the quadriceps and core.
Keep the ankle joint stable and avoid rolling inward or outward.
Distribute your weight evenly across the balls of your feet and heels.
Lengthen your spine and maintain a neutral pelvic tilt.
Extend your arms down by your sides, palms facing forward.
Breathe deeply and evenly, focusing on maintaining balance.
Hold the pose for several breaths, then exhale and lower the toes back to the floor.
